Official Contest Rules – The Covert Detective Agency

1. Sponsor

This contest is sponsored by The Covert Detective Agency, operated at www.thecovertdetective.com. This contest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

2. Eligibility

Open to legal residents of countries where contests are permitted by law. Must be 18 years or older at time of entry (or have parent/guardian permission if under 18). Internet access required. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

3. How to Enter

To participate, begin by watching the designated mystery video on The Covert Detective Agency YouTube Channel. Then, visit www.thecovertdetective.com and register as an Honorary Member. Registration is required for all contest entries.

Once registered, submit your official guess identifying the suspect using the voting form provided on the site.

Eligibility to Win – To win any prize in any contest, you must choose the person who committed the crime or the correct answer, which can only be obtained by watching the video.  If you choose the right answer, and you obtain any additional Bonus points, those additional Bonus points or opportunities to win are completely contingent upon you answering the correct first answer.  Your attention and skill are needed to qualify and potentially win any of our contests.

All contests are designed to reward attention, reasoning, and deductive skill. Chance plays no role in determining the correct answer, and only qualified entries that meet all stated requirements will be considered for prizes.

Bonus Points:
Participants may earn bonus points—each acting as an additional entry—by engaging with our content. Bonus points are awarded for:

• Posting positive, relevant comments on the video or channel
• Liking the associated YouTube video
• Clicking the notification bell
• Sharing the video across platforms

Important Rules:

• Only one entry per person is allowed.
• Only one entry per IP address will be accepted. IP addresses are monitored.
• Each participant may win only one prize per contest(cash, equivalent value, or merchandise).
• If multiple winning entries originate from the same individual (via bonus points), only the highest-value prizewill be awarded.
• Duplicate entries or use of multiple accounts by the same person will result in disqualification. Suspected abuse—including entries from the same IP—may lead to entry removal at the discretion of the contest administrators.

4. Contest Period

Each contest begins when a new mystery video is posted. The entry deadline will be clearly listed on the voting form. Late entries will not be considered.

5. Winner Selection

Winners will be selected from all correct entries submitted via the website. In case of multiple correct guesses on the “Who Done It,” the winner with the most points—based on both the original First Question and any earned Bonus Points—will be selected. If multiple participants have both the correct answer and an equal number of Bonus Points, a winner will be chosen at random. Winner(s) will be notified via the email provided at the time of submission.

By entering, participants agree to these rules and YouTube’s Community Guidelines. Entries that violate any platform’s terms or local laws will be disqualified. The sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the contest if fraud or technical failure compromises fairness.

10. Bonus Votes

Participants must submit their YouTube username during registration or reply to a verification email to confirm the bonus.

12. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes that may apply to their prize.
